About Us

Payment Card Solutions (PCS) was formed in 2006 for the purpose of delivering quality prepaid card programs globally. Since this time, extensive development work has been undertaken to build a robust, best of breed technology solution set for program delivery to business customers and consumers alike.

During the same period, the team launched the the BREAD Prepaid MasterCard as an own brand product, primarily to gain customer feedback to ensure the underlying infrastructure was refined to keep the customer experience top of mind.

Early in 2008, a strategic alliance was formed with Quantum Card Services to join forces by combining Quantum's background in marketing and particularly promotion innovation with PCS's technical and project management skills with the objective of delivering cutting edge quality prepaid card programs.

The first venture to be delivered under the new partnership was the unique ClearCash Program aimed at the debt management and IVA sector. This product combines the features of a general spend prepaid card but includes a full online payee management and bill payment feature (including standing orders), combined with innovative online budgeting tools aimed at helping consumers manage their money. These back office operations are completely managed on the PCS technology platform.

Closely following on from this success was a new general spend card launched on behalf of the Daily Star Newspaper using the MasterCard Network. In this case Quantum brought their unique abilities to bear in developing a first rate cardholder rewards program to sit alongside the competitive consumer pricing on the product.
